Family & Education

Martha Mhoni is a bright and motivated nine-year-old girl who is being cared for by her guardian, Brenda Chamalilo, whom we had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with during our visit. Both of Martha’s parents are deceased.

Martha attends Masasa Primary School, a local government school, where she is in the fifth grade. She is an excellent student and performs well in all her subjects. Her favorite subject is mathematics, and she also enjoys studying the Bible in her school lessons—recently scoring 100% on her Bible knowledge exam.

Physical Health

Martha is in good overall health but has some concerns regarding dental hygiene. Her guardian was counseled on the importance of limiting sugary foods and sugarcane, as well as encouraging Martha to brush her teeth regularly. Martha will likely need a few dental cavities filled in the future.

She has an immunization record and has already received several vaccinations, including Hib, BCG, and polio, according to her guardian, Brenda Chamalilo.

Spiritual Health & Prayer Requests

Mrs. Chamalilo and Martha are active members of Mzuzu Baptist Church, where Martha participates in church activities with enthusiasm. She is an energetic and joyful child who loves learning about God’s Word.

Please pray for a child sponsor for Martha Mhoni—someone who will help support her educational and physical needs while praying for her spiritual growth. Pray that she will continue to grow in her love for the Bible and that she will come to know Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age.

October 2025 Visit Report

In October 2025, Agape Evangelical Ministries traveled with a small team to Mzuzu City, Malawi (Southeast Africa) on October 8, 2025. We praise God for the wonderful visit we had with each child and their caregivers. The children gathered for a few hours at Mzuzu Baptist Church, where they played together and learned how to color with crayons and books—some for the very first time.

Martha was joyful throughout the visit. She received new shoes, socks, underwear, and a new dress, which brought her great happiness.
