Family & Education

Dumisani is an orphan living with his stepmother, Andanji Chirwa, who is also his legal guardian. Both of his biological parents are deceased. He attends Kawuwa Primary School and is currently in the seventh grade, where he is doing well overall.

English is one of Dumisani’s favorite subjects because he wants to become a good communicator. However, he has expressed some difficulty with mathematics, particularly with division. In Malawi, primary school is government-funded through eighth grade. Without a child sponsor, Dumisani will struggle to continue to secondary school, as his stepmother cannot afford the required school fees, uniforms, books, and supplies.

Physical Health

Dumisani is in good health. He is well-adjusted, interacts and communicates well with others, and maintains a respectful relationship with his stepmother, Andanji Chirwa.

Spiritual Health & Prayer Requests

Dumisani attends Sunday School and is a member of Mzuzu Baptist Church. His favorite Bible story is about Moses parting the Red Sea and the Israelites being delivered from Pharaoh’s army.

Please pray for Dumisani to excel in school, especially in mathematics, and to grow in his relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray that he will continue to be obedient, respectful, and helpful at home. Also, pray for a generous sponsor who will not only support him financially but also pray for him and his stepmother regularly.

October 2025 Visit Report

In October 2025, Agape Evangelical Ministries traveled with a small team to Mzuzu City, Malawi (Southeast Africa) on October 8, 2025. We praise God for the wonderful time we shared with each child and their caregivers during our visit at Mzuzu Baptist Church, where we conducted medical assessments and fellowship activities.

The name Dumisani means “Praise” in English. He is a bright and well-adjusted 12-year-old boy who enjoyed spending time with other children during the visit. Many of them had fun coloring in books—some for the first time. Dumisani received new tennis shoes, socks, underwear, and clothing. The children also listened to a story about how each one of them is special and created in God’s image, who loves them deeply.
